Standing the test of time......................................

Halstead and Fowler Cabinet Makers were established in 1982 by partners, Peter Halstead and Mark Fowler. At first the business operated from a rented workshop, in Holbeach, Lincolnshire. As the business developed we started looking for a larger site.

In 1986, after about 6 months of hard rebuilding work we moved to our current site in Park Road Holbeach. The business developed and grew steadily and it became necessary to employ more staff to cope with the increasing workload. By 1997, we started looking at ways to give our cabinet makers and a polisher more space as we were quite cramped. It was decided that by purchasing some land at the rear of the existing site we could extend our existing workshop. After several months we had obtained the necessary planning permission and building work finally commenced.

We re-modelled the interior of the existing workshop to provide a more welcoming reception area and built a new and much more spacious workshop at the rear. Work was completed in December 1999. We were also now able to invest in new machinery and employ another cabinet maker as well as a specialist restorer.

Unfortunately in February 2005 Peter Halstead past away, so the Business is now run by Mark Fowler but retains the Company trading name of Halstead & Fowler as a fitting tribute to Peter and 24 years together as Business partners.
